Marion County Library Headquarters

Our firm provided Architectural and Engineering Services to an existing 60,000 sq. ft. former supermarket and transformed it into a Library Headquarters for the Marion County Library system. The existing facility was gutted and the new facility was developed with all new systems including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing, State of the Art Communications/Internet Services, and fire alarm systems.   This facility functions like many other libraries, but it also handles the task of administration, book processing, and repair facilities.  The highlight of the exterior façade was the design of a mural system that enabled the library system and the citizens of the community to participate in the development of the Arts while also enhancing this jewel within the community.  This project was under budget by $500,000 which allowed the owner to upgrade many of the building’s amenities and enhance the overall experience.  Our firm prepared the Grant Application with the owner to secure an additional $500,000 for the project.
