Our firm was selected to provide full Architectural and Engineering Services for a 19,000 sq. ft. 160 mph hardened building connected to the existing Sheriff’s Operations Center. This facility, in an emergency, will house all local emergency response teams to include Police, Fire, Building Officials, Public Works, Transportation, etc. within the City of Ocala and Marion County. This State-of-the-Art facility will have a centralized Communications, Video and Technology to help maintain and control all emergency efforts in a disaster. This facility is needed in order for Marion County to provide diverse emergency services to the community as well as the others within the state of Florida. When cities or counties South of Marion County have an emergency situation that requires evacuation from the coast the typical route is inland and via I-75. This typically generates a great deal of temporary inhabitants that will come to Marion County and will required support services.
