This 3-bay $850,000 fire station was designed to handle 24 hour operations, with 3 shifts a day. One of the requirements for this facility was a maintenance free exterior. Our solution was to provide split face concrete block, and metal roof system that has a 50 year life span. The front entrance to the living quarters is highlighted by a contemporary canopy that clearly illustrates where the main entrance is located. The 3-bay apparatus bay is double stacked and can handle (6) vehicles and is designed as a drive thru. In addition to housing the fire trucks it also has to store and provide for assorted support equipment including air supply, hose dryers, hazardous equipment as well as other miscellaneous equipment. The fire fighters also needed bunk rooms, complete showers, bathrooms facilities, kitchen, and living quarters had to handle a flexible schedule as well as multiple shifts that are required to operate this type of a facility.
